Emeraude Toubia

 Emeraude Toubia (born March 1 1989) is a native of Canada. American model and actress who portrayed Isabelle Lightwood on the Freeform fantasy series Shadowhunters. Toubia was born in Montreal. Her family was from Brownsville, Texas as an only child. Mirta Sonia (nee Solis), her mother was born in Ciudad Victoria and raised by her American-Lebanese father. Her paternal grandparents are of the Koura District, Lebanon.In 1999 at the age 10, Toubia made her first television appearance on Televisa's children's show El Mundo de los Ninos. The actress gained a lot of attention in 2008 when she was picked to participate on the second season of the Univision beauty pageant series Nuestra Belleza Latina, where the participants were trained rigorously in acting, presenting dancing, and other aspects; Toubia was voted first runner-up. Since then, she's been featured in ads for companies like Maybelline, J. C. Penney, Sony, Garnier, and AT&T.
